I dont know who all remembers me, my name is jase baxter I own a 2000 black GT.
Ive been having some major problems with it lately and its been in the shop for about 3 months.I origionally put it in to have a head replaced total cost ended up being over $2000
but thats not the end of it. It took the guy a month to fix the car and when I got it back it felt like the fuel pump was acting up on it. I drove it to atlanta and back, The skipping and missing started getting worse on the way.I drove it the day after and when I got about a mile away from my place it almost felt like the enging belw up.I dove it down to the guy who had just fixed it assuming it was his fault. He pulled the valve covers and hooked up the computer. The computer read misfire in 4 cyl's all on one side and one on the other. He found that it had a bent valve but failed to check the other side and was going to charge me almost $900 to fix the problem. He would not take the blame for this happening.I towed the car from his garage to my apartment where I took the head off and replaced the bent valve. When I got the car back together and tried to start it the engine jammed up.Checking the timming once again I found the timming was on.I then came to the conclusion that it had to be something with the other head.I took everything back apart and there was the problem almost every valve in that head was bent, one valve had broken off flipped upside down and stuck in the top of my piston there was also damage to one of the other pistions.I called the guy back and had him come look at it he still denied everything. He told me I could have the car towed down to his shop where I could work on it myself. This guy knows he is at fault one of his machanics messed up bad.Im keeping the car there long enough to fix it I pulled the engine out to save time. The name of his shop is STAR TRUCK AND AUTO located next to the civic center by the BP.The shop has been reported to Better Business Beuro. He tryed to save face by letting me work on my car there but when im finished im going to report him, He has cost me over $3200 because of his shady work.If you ever go there and you see people bringing there cars to him its because he just fixed them and now there having more problems. If anyone is machanically inclined give me a call at 334-214-5732. Also there is a huge problem with the lower intake on many of the new ford vehicles.A lot of people got together and took ford to court and if everything goes as planned you might be able to get your lower intake upgraded for free.

what can I tell you man that sucks! I wish that I could help you out but I am up in DC for a while longer.... next time you need to get work done on your car make sure that you talk to some of the other CCS members and I am sure that we can point you in the right direction as far as getting your car fixed up and having a good reputation aswell. Sorry about your luck man!

well things are looking up, slowly putting the engine back together its kind of a crash course in learning ive made many mistakes on the way but I now know how to rebuild a motor.I kept everything the same when i put it back together but I painted the engine Ford Red, I think it goes good with black.Im just trying to get the car back to normal so I can ship it to Germany here in a few months. My last step before I complete the engine is waiting for my Piston rings to come in., then all will be well ( I hope).

well I got everything hooked up the other day and tried to start it but it did not start at first come to find out I had pulled the fuel pump fuse when I did a preassure check.I replaced the fuse and it started but it idles like crap so im trying to work the kinks out. There are a couple of things it could be such as a faulty spark plug or a bad ignition coil or the IAC valve Ive been through all of this before, the engine sounds great when you rev it up.Im going to hook the computer up to it today and see if I have a misfire or something.
