I think someone had already mentioned this awhile back but it is even more "official" now. Can't wait to the Pony run in the big race!!!!

yeah but you must admit...most of the turns are left...oddly enough, it still makes for entertaining races...i must say that the rally cars are the most exciting to me...

They have two or so races a year...Nascar is BORING! Now if they would go back to the old days where they actually used factory cars and if someone was faster just meant they had a smarter engine guy I would watch. BAJA, RALLY, and the new Mustang Series is about all the racing I can watch...and of course drag racing but I have to be there in person!

there they go...everytime we start talking about mustangs making moves, someone has to go and bring up the darn camaro!!!
but really, Dodge is already on board with the Challenger. Chevy is they only one dragging their feet. The y should come around soon i am sure...

They have to wait for Obama's permission!

well in that case he already gave it...he just said that nascar was one the best advertisments they could have...chevy and other american carmakers did this to themselves...not to mention the countless numbers of americans who feel that honda or toyota make superior products...darn it, in some cases they do because we dropped the ball in quality years ago...

look at the trans am series of the 60s and 70s with drivers and owners like mark donahue, roger penske with the camaro challenger and mustang. they had some darn good races. if they do that in nascar, i belive it would sell more tickets and revive the muscle car wars of the 70s. i think that the mustang will do well in nascar, but the camaro will be a great fit. i saw the episode of nascar now where obama said the big three need to stay in nascar. i think that would be one way to promote the brand. WIN ON SUNDAY, SELL ON MONDAY!!!

They would have to go back to using more factory like cars and not templates that are currently used. Back when the engine builders controlled more of the outcome than the drivers. That is how technology works. They find a way to make more power than the other guys then they win, next you'll see that technology in the showroom. That is at least my opinion...its nice to see that camaro, you kind of start forgetting about it when they are out of production for so long. At least the trans am won't be coming back with no Pontiac! Legends never die...
What was cool about some of the early Trans Am racing was the development (and deployment) of the Ford BOSS 302 and the Chevy Z/28 (302 ci) motors (and cars). It would be sweet to see that again but with the economy like it is, there would probably be a very small market actively giving up their econo-boxes for something that's not nearly as fuel efficient.

they just tested the NASCAR Mustang at Talladega yesterday...sounds great...of course its "nascar'd" out but nice to see the "Stang" represented in a popular American fashion...
