Went to the track last night. On the way home, I broke my car. We think it's the transmission but I haven't put it on the rack to find out. I will be out of commision for a while now. I doubt I will have the mustang at any more meets before I move but I will try to make it out and I'll just ride with somebody. It will be about 3 weeks before I even put it on the rack to find out what is wrong with it. Then if in fact it IS the tranny, I'm just going to build it for racing, tranny, driveshaft, flywheel, entire rear end blah blah blah. No sense in spending money patching this hole when I can just build an entirely new/dependable one in the future.

Chris,
Sorry to hear about your rod. Keep in touch and if you need a ride to a cruise or something, let me know.

Well, it's not the tranny. I went out and got it to start and I drove it down the road. Either the timing is shot, the intake is cracked, or I bent a valve. I don't know what it is but it's still pretty crappy. Just thought I'd update for those that care.

Wasn't shifting well and couldn't really get much better times. Still in the 12's although not by much.

Chris, Something to consider, try performing a compression check on your cylinders as well to be sure that you don't have a major problem. If those checkout okay, consider your fuel system (I had to replace a fuel filter and run injector cleaner on my Crown Vic recently, I thought it was tranny problem initially) and ignition. Have you tried posting the problem on Stangnet? You can get some great help there too. Hope this helps!

Hey, I got me some Bullit Pedals now! That should take about .01 sec off in the quarter for making me want to use my feet more often!

I'll be off on Friday and Jason and I are going to work on the stang. We've already made plans to do the compression check. I am waiting to make a video before posting so people can hear/see what I'm talking about.
I'll post it here when I get it.

Thanks
-Chris
