okay, trying to find a set of used one chamber FLOWMASTER mufflers, only one chambers, the little tiny one , not a set of dual chamber you think sounds like one chambers... (backstory there but too long to go into it...)
I tried to do cutouts, but they will not fit without dragging the ground all the time, according to a knowledgable midas employee who saved me from spending my hard earned money on a desperate attempt at more loudness, so now my goal is one chambers to increase noise to what i consider a nice irritation level!!
so, anyone got a set of them or know someone looking to offload them fairly cheap?
thanks in advance!

Might as well not even run mufflers if you want it that loud.

no mufflers has a bad raspiness and drone that the flows eliminate, i know to those who don't like loud or are not knowledgable about exhaust it would seem the same, but i have heard both in the past, there IS a noticable difference...

how much compression do you have?, single chambers really work best with more that 12.5 with backpressure and sound... something to think about

thanks for the link brandon, my big problem with ebay is that those guys and gals often sell imitation flows and decieve and flat-out lie about "FLOWMASTER" stamped on it, trying not to get burned on the purchase...
and mustangshirley, had the heads milled and matched last time I blew the helicoil thread on #4 spark plug, guy who does some sideline SVT stuff did it for me and they are SUPPOSEDLY running around 10.0/1, but the sound is more my goal than actual power gains and such, this baby never drags anymore...
if anyone has a good lead on a full SLP catback, still trying to find that as an alternate...
thanks gang!!

be careful with the lack of backpressure, it will burn valves, and hurt your bottom end,
good luck to ya

I can appreciate a good sounding exhaust :) Besides, with the forest in front of my house, I can barely hear you now. I can still hear you, but it was a lot louder back when there were no leaves on the trees :D

i am still trying to figure out the 1 chamber working better with 12.5 to 1 compression and all.....first off....single, dual, and 3 chamber flowmasters all have about the same restriction flow wise. The baffles in the mufflers simple bend, deflect, and more or less just distord the sound coming out of the pipes. More baffles, less noise. As for the back pressure.....have had 46 vehicles...22 of which have been mustangs...in fact of my 5 vehicles right now 3 are mustangs and not a one has catalytic converters. One case in point is a certain yellow 95 GT with damn near 300,000 miles on it and it hasn't had cats since the warranty expired. Running straight headers and no pipes will warp the valves as cold air is drawn into the heads when you release the throttle....the warping prevents proper seating and That is what burns Valves...not 1 chamber vs 2. And, not to mention, the exhaust in the 95 runs short headers..no cats, 2.5 inch X-pipe, and they dump before the rear axle....but no probs there. I believe this myth has been busted.

Yep, once I get mine done we will def. see who has the loudest car. Hooker Long Tube Headers flowing thru an uncatted Hooker X-Pipe into a Borla Stinger Dual Catback!
