View Full Version : Reynolds For Videos?
I'm planning to do another run to Reynolds again in the near future. I'm planning to take my digital camcorder out there and do a few videos of our runs. Should be pretty cool. I'm planning to get a DVD recorder in order to transfer the videos for those who participate. The camcorder also records sounds in digital hifi stereo. Sure would be nice if I could get it in Dolby Digital. LOL

Well, Reynolds coming up again on June 2nd. Unfortunately "WhiteSnake" won't be able to make the trip. I 'might' take the GT out there just to cut up a little bit. Wouldn't mind getting a good burnout with it on video, as for a 1/4 run in it, mid-high 14's is about all she's got but at least a small amount of adrenalin can be gotten. Oh yeah, and the video cam.

would love to get a good audio/video clip of the new exhaust ed, hopefully it won't crack the speaker in that camcorder!!

that would be mr.blount,yea thats when u went,actually right after this pic was taken the back tires unloaded and went to spinning,went like 16 sec in teh 1/4

OK, that must have been the time when I was standing behind it pitting for Earl Miller and that other guy. It was a little smokey from the view I had, all I saw was it veer to the left, and then veer to the right, at which point I closed my eyes and gasped. ;) Made a good photo opp though!! :)

sounds like they are getting pretty into it huh. I will defenately be at Reynolds next week. I have the day off of work.
I really wished I could take the 'snake there but I don't expect it will be ready for running there for quite a while. It's gonna be right next time we go whether it's late this Summer or early Fall. My target: under 11 seconds

Under 11 as in 10.00 - 10.99 or do you mean in the 11.00 - 11.99 range. Getting into the tens is one hell of a feat especially without a roll cage and in a convertible.
Slikk, You're running a PI with a tune, OR/H pipe vs. my GT with a stock NPI motor. I would say the tables are pretty much stacked in your favor so my GT taking yours would indeed be a huge upset. Not that I'm not up for it! I think it would be cool to see where "LaseREDBo" stands up against yours. :p

Under 11 as in 10.00-10.99. Yes, will be quite the feat but I feel confident that the car is pretty close to being there. Upgrades to the car will include 6point roll bar/cage and strong subframe connectors. Also upper/lower control arms to the rear along with some weight reduction, considering adding a Vortech aftercooler which would require battery to be relocated to the trunk. This teamed with additional 3lbs of boost and a good MPH tune should have the car very capable, the rest being the driver. It was doing mid 12s at Reynolds last month but that was with really bad 60ft times, and the car was still spinning those drag radials like nobody's business in 2nd gear and tended to spin a bit in 3rd gear. I'll get a little more used to getting them heated up properly for some better hookup and if that fails, some MT drag slicks should help cure that problem. :eek:

Hey Ed, You have the underfrive pulleys and the 3.73 gears on your side. I think It'll be a really close race to see which vert will come out on top. I think it'll make a real good video. lol.
Yeah, but I don't know if that'll be enough to overcome the HP advantage that you have with the PI heads/manifold. Last time there I was running High 14s but had big time problems hooking up because it was c-c-cold. I did beat the hell out of a ricer though. Ask Chris about it, it was hilarious, especially the burnout! I wished he had gotten a pic of it, it'd still probably grace the front page! :D

Reynolds is having Import vs. Domestic Grudge Drags from 1pm-5pm on Sunday, June 25th. (Track opens at noon).
As for when the 'Snake will be ready to return, that might be mid-late July. :o

Looks like it could be anybody. BTW: I've found a new supercharger head unit for the 'Snake for about what it would cost me to trade out my bad one. I will probably order it tomorrow and when it arrives can make a much quicker turnaround instead of taking mine off and shipping it CA, letting them make repairs/exchange, and waiting for it to return. Much less 'Snake downtime! :D Probably as much as two-three weeks! :eek: Then I could do a repair/exchange on my bad one down the road and have a spare! ;)
